Taylor earned her Bachelors of Kinesiology with majors in Human Kinetics and Health Promotation from the University of Regina. Working as a Kinesiologist for 5 years, Taylor likes to stay educated from a generalist approach while working in a small community, but has lots of experience working with post motor vehicle accident rehabilitation, pre-surgical exercise, strength and conditioning, and supporting mental health through exercise. For those interested, Taylor has completed additional training for the application of Kinesiology tape.
With a mostly hands off approach, Taylor believes that movement is medicine and that her job as a Kinesiologist is to teach and facilitate the right type and dose of exercise to help you meet your goals. When working with Taylor, you can expect a collaborative and educational approach where goals are clearly defined and effort is made to explain the purpose of each exercise that has been personally selected to support your progress.
When not working, you can find Taylor hiking in the warmer months and snowboarding in the colder months. Taylor likes to take advantage of the abundance of nature that the Kootenays have to offer, but when not outside, she loves a good knitting or reading session. She is also a competitive powerlifter, having won the Saskatchewan provincials back in 2019.
