Registered Massage Therapy
Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) focuses on the assessment and treatment of soft tissue and musculoskeletal conditions. From hands on techniques such as soft tissue release and joint mobilizations to active rehab based exercise and home care, RMT treatments can help alleviate pain, reduce stress, improve circulation, and enhance overall physical function. Here at RANGE our RMTs are trained in a variety of techniques which are highlighted below:
Relaxation Massage
The purpose of a relaxation massage is to promote overall relaxation, reduce stress, and improve mental and physical well-being. Unlike therapeutic or deep tissue massage, relaxation massage uses gentle, flowing techniques that calm the nervous system and encourage a sense of peace and balance. Some treatment techniques that our RMTs use in this realm include Swedish massage, effleurage, gentle stretching and more.
Deep Tissue Massage
The purpose of deep tissue massage is to target muscle tension, tightness, and pain by working on the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. Our RMTs use deep tissue massage to treat a variety of musculoskeletal based injuries through techniques such as trigger point massage, pin and stretch techniques and more.
Sports Massage
At RANGE, our Sports Massage services combines a blend of hands on treatment techniques and active based treatment. The purpose of a sports massage treatment is to get your body ready for movement through manual therapy and soft tissue release, and then immediately load these newly opened ranges of motions for longer lasting effects post-treatment.
In these treatments patients will be expected to transition on and off the treatment table for assessment and reassessment and therefore it is recommended to show up in active based clothing that allows you to move comfortably.
At this time, our RMT Filip Cinco is currently offering our Sports Massage service.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage: Vodder Technique
The purpose of lymphatic drainage massage is to support the body’s lymphatic system by gently stimulating the flow of lymph fluid, which helps remove waste, toxins, and excess fluid from tissues. This type of massage uses light, rhythmic strokes designed to encourage natural lymph movement and reduce blockages.
At this time, our RMT Diana Harrison is trained in manual lymphatic drainage through extra training in the Vodder Technique.
